What is GO ON Protein Granola?

GO ON Protein Granola is a high-protein breakfast granola developed by GO ON Nutrition (Sante, Poland) — one of Central Europe's most established sports nutrition brands. Built on a base of 43 to 47% wholegrain oats combined with soy protein isolate, the granola delivers 22g of protein per 100g and 17g of dietary fibre per 100g, making it one of the most nutritionally complete breakfast cereals available in the sports nutrition market.

The formula contains no added sugar — the very low sugar content (1.2 to 2g per 100g) comes entirely from natural sources within the oat and flavour ingredients. It contains no palm oil, no preservatives and is suitable for vegans and vegetarians. It is enriched with vitamins (A, E, B1) and essential minerals (phosphorus, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, manganese), providing a broad micronutrient profile that goes well beyond a standard granola.

Two flavours are stocked. Hazelnut Almond Chocolate features real chocolate pieces (7%) made with maltitol as a sweetener and cocoa butter, alongside real hazelnuts and almonds (2%) and oat bran — a rich, indulgent flavour that makes high-protein breakfast genuinely enjoyable. Brownie & Cherry features freeze-dried forest fruits (2.2%) in variable proportions — blackberry, raspberry and red currant — creating a vibrant, tangy contrast to the sweet oat base.

Both variants are extremely versatile: they can be eaten dry as a crunchy snack, mixed with Greek yoghurt, combined with plant-based or dairy milk, added to smoothie bowls, or incorporated into baking and cooking preparations.

Available in 300g pouches. No individual servings — the full pouch provides approximately 5 to 6 servings at a standard 50g breakfast portion.

Protein. Fibre. Vitamins. A granola you can actually feel good about.

How GO ON Protein Granola supports your objectives

💪 22g of protein per 100g — one of the highest in the granola category

Most commercial granolas provide 5 to 8g of protein per 100g. GO ON Protein Granola delivers 22g — nearly three times the protein of a standard granola — from a combination of wholegrain oats (naturally protein-containing) and soy protein isolate. At a standard 50g serving with 200ml of skimmed milk, each breakfast provides approximately 18 to 20g of complete protein — a meaningful contribution toward daily targets.

🌾 17g of dietary fibre per 100g — exceptional satiety

The soluble corn fibre and oat bran components deliver 17g of dietary fibre per 100g — a genuinely exceptional level for any breakfast food. Dietary fibre slows gastric emptying, moderates blood glucose response, feeds beneficial gut bacteria and produces a prolonged feeling of fullness after eating. For athletes managing appetite during a caloric restriction phase, a high-fibre breakfast is one of the most effective satiety tools available.

🍫🌰 Real inclusions — genuine whole-food ingredients

Hazelnut Almond Chocolate contains 7% real chocolate (cocoa mass, cocoa butter) and 2% real nuts (hazelnuts, almonds). Brownie & Cherry contains 2.2% real freeze-dried forest fruits (blackberry, raspberry, red currant). These are genuine whole-food ingredient additions — not artificial flavourings — contributing real taste complexity, antioxidant polyphenols (from the chocolate and the fruits) and additional micronutrients.

🚫 No added sugar — <2g of sugars per 100g

Both variants contain extremely low total sugar (1.2g for Hazelnut Almond Chocolate, 2g for Brownie & Cherry per 100g) — all naturally occurring from the oat and fruit ingredients. The sweetness comes from maltitol (a sugar alcohol used in the chocolate component) and sucralose. This makes GO ON Protein Granola genuinely compatible with low-sugar, controlled-carbohydrate and body recomposition dietary approaches.

🌱 Vegan, no palm oil, no preservatives

GO ON Protein Granola uses sunflower oil as its fat source and contains no palm oil. It contains no preservatives and is suitable for vegans and vegetarians. The product carries no major allergens beyond soy (from the soy protein isolate and lecithin) and cereals containing gluten (from oats).

🎯 Goal guide

🏋️ Mass gain: 1 to 2 servings/day (50 to 100g) as a high-protein, high-fibre breakfast during a caloric surplus.

🔥 Weight loss / cutting: 1 serving/day (50g). High-protein, high-fibre breakfast for maximum morning satiety at controlled calories.

⚖️ Body recomposition: 1 serving/day. Clean protein and fibre-rich breakfast to support both muscle maintenance and fat management.

Serving suggestion

Use 50g (approximately 5 to 6 tablespoons) per serving. Combine with Greek yoghurt, dairy or plant-based milk, or consume dry as a crunchy snack. For a warm porridge-style preparation, add hot milk and let rest for 2 minutes. Can also be incorporated into smoothie bowls, baking or protein recipes.

Best times to enjoy it

🌅 Breakfast (primary occasion)

The ideal daily use case: a 50g serving of GO ON Protein Granola with 200ml of skimmed milk or 150g of Greek yoghurt provides a complete, high-protein, high-fibre breakfast in under 2 minutes with no cooking required. The fibre content extends satiety through the morning, making it one of the most effective anti-craving breakfast formats available.

☀️ Pre-workout (1 to 2 hours before training)

The oat carbohydrate base provides sustained slow-release energy for the training session. Taking the granola 1 to 2 hours before training gives the oat starch time to begin digesting, providing a steady blood glucose supply throughout the workout.

🏋️ Post-workout with Greek yoghurt

Combining 50g of GO ON Protein Granola with 200g of 0% Greek yoghurt creates a post-workout snack providing approximately 30 to 35g of complete protein (from soy protein, oat protein and Greek yoghurt casein and whey) alongside slow-release carbohydrates for glycogen replenishment.

🌙 Evening snack (dry, as a crunchy nibble)

Consumed dry at 30 to 40g, the granola provides a satisfying crunchy texture and protein-rich snack in the evening without requiring preparation — replacing conventional sweet or salty snacks with a nutritionally purposeful alternative.

Daily protein target reminder

Current sports nutrition science recommends 1.6 to 2.2g of protein per kg of body weight per day for active individuals. A 50g serving of GO ON Protein Granola contributes 11g of protein toward this daily target.

🏅 Sport Nutrition "Did you know?"

GO ON Protein Granola contains soluble corn fibre — a specific type of dietary fibre that is fermented selectively by beneficial gut bacteria in the colon, functioning as a prebiotic. Unlike many insoluble fibres that pass through the digestive system largely intact, soluble fibre from corn is fermented into short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) — particularly butyrate, propionate and acetate — that directly feed the colon's epithelial cells, reduce intestinal inflammation and contribute to improved gut barrier integrity. For athletes who consume high volumes of protein and whose gut microbiome is often disrupted by training stress and dietary changes, a consistent prebiotic fibre source at breakfast supports the gut health foundation on which everything else depends.

Q1 — How is GO ON Protein Granola different from standard supermarket granola?

Standard commercial granola typically contains 5 to 8% protein, 15 to 25% added sugar and 6 to 9% fat from palm oil. GO ON Protein Granola provides 22% protein from a soy-oat protein matrix, less than 2% naturally occurring sugars (zero added sugar), 17% dietary fibre from soluble corn fibre and oat bran, and uses sunflower oil with no palm oil. The nutritional profile is fundamentally different — GO ON is a high-protein functional food built for athletes, not a conventional sweet breakfast product with granola aesthetics.

Q2 — Is GO ON Protein Granola suitable for vegans?

Yes. Both variants are fully vegan — no dairy, no egg, no animal-derived ingredients. The protein comes from soy protein isolate (plant-derived) and oats. The chocolate component in the Hazelnut Almond Chocolate variant uses cocoa butter (plant-derived) and contains no dairy. Soy lecithin is used as the emulsifier throughout.

Q3 — Why does the granola contain maltitol and is that safe?

Maltitol is a sugar alcohol used as a sweetener in both the chocolate component and as a binder in the granola structure. It provides approximately half the calories of sugar at a lower glycaemic impact, and does not count as added sugar under EU food labelling regulations. It is safe for the general population at normal consumption levels, though excessive intake can cause a mild laxative effect in sensitive individuals — a standard consideration for all polyol-containing foods. At normal serving sizes (50g per day), this is not a practical concern for most adults.

Q4 — Can I cook or bake with GO ON Protein Granola?

Yes. The granola integrates well into both raw and cooked preparations. It can be used as a topping for smoothie bowls and yoghurt parfaits, incorporated into protein muffin or energy ball recipes, added to overnight oat preparations, or used as a crunchy coating for protein pancakes and waffles. See Tab 7 for recipe inspiration.

Q5 — How many servings does the 300g pouch provide?

At a standard 50g breakfast serving, the 300g pouch provides approximately 6 servings — approximately one week of daily breakfasts. For smaller snack servings of 30g, the pouch provides approximately 10 servings.
